I promised Donna that I'd try to have some of her engagement shots up today. Since I was out of the office for a few days, I had a lot of office work to catch up on and I didn't get to edit any shots.....so I got up very early this morning! I met Donna and Michael at Leaming's Run Gardens in North Cape May Courthouse, NJ on Sunday afternoon for their engagement shoot. We walked for a few hours (and 10,000 steps on the pedometer). I was impressed with al the nature that we saw; usually I don't post that many ancillary shots in an engagement session's posting, but nature was so entwined with our shoot, that I'm going to incorporate some of those shots in the post. Stop back over the next two days, as well, because Donna and Michael got more relaxed as our shoot progressed and I think a lot of the best images came from later in the shoot!
Donna and Michael are so sweet. When the shoot was over they gave me a big gift bag filled with handmade soaps and bath salts from the Little Egg Harbor Soap company! I love getting gifts!
So, on to the images. Michael and Donna purchased two bricks in support of the Gardens' fundraising efforts:
This was a crazy big red bug. It looked like a jumbo ant with red on it...and it was very angry looking (at least to me, but then again I screamed when a butterfly nearly landed on my camera bag). None of us had ever seen anything like this bug!
Donna our beautiful bride-to-be! She looks very Elizabethan to me in these two shots...
There were signs at each garden telling visitors the name of the hummingbird that 'owned' that garden.
Stop back tomorrow to see some peacocks and chickens.....really!
