2 Seconds

You hear that seconds could literally mean the difference between life and death...you just never think it would happen to you. Yesterday, while I was driving home from work, I had an experience that made me realize just how true that thought it. As I was merging onto the Commodore Barry Bridge, off of I95, I saw a car, in the middle lane of I95, cut across two lanes of traffic at a high rate of speed. I saw him hit the guard rail that separates the bridge exit from I95 and I saw him do a 360 10 feet in front of me. Literally, if I were seconds earlier, or if I hadn't been paying attention, either I would have slammed into him or he would have hit me. Seconds do matter, and for those seconds, yesterday, I'm very grateful.....
