This is a classic and when I saw it at the bookstore, I had to buy it. Lauren Child has been a favorite children's book illustrator, so when I saw the combination of her drawings and Pippi Longstocking, I knew I had to have it despite the fact that I wasn't sure I could convince E to read it. BUT E is now reading it and it likes it...how great it that?!
